flyExclusive announced two technology milestones from the NBAA Schedulers & Dispatchers Conference 2026 in Cleveland: a utility patent application for aircraft schedule optimisation architecture, and the launch of the Contrails Flight Management System to other Part 135 operators beginning in the second quarter of 2026.
The patent application
Application Ser. No. 19/568,916, titled Aircraft Schedule Optimization, describes a graph-based architecture for fleet scheduling and disruption recovery. Rather than recalculating schedules from scratch when conditions change, the system precomputes valid options across the full fleet, which allows near-instant schedule recovery during irregular operations. The performance advantage grows as fleet size and complexity increase.
What Contrails is
Contrails is a flight management system purpose-built for Part 135 operators. It combines flyExclusive’s own operational experience with intellectual property acquired from Volato Group, including the Mission Control flight management system. The platform integrates scheduling, crew compliance, dispatch, disruption recovery, fleet optimisation and wholesale charter coordination in one place.
Why give it away
flyExclusive launches Contrails in Q2 2026 and begins onboarding other operators at that point at no licence cost. The reasoning is in the chief executive’s own arithmetic below: demand the company cannot currently source lift for is a revenue problem that coordination between operators could solve.

We believe Contrails will allow us to address that demand far more efficiently — both within our own operation and through coordination with other operators — and that represents a material revenue opportunity for flyExclusive and for all participating operators.
